The city is at the foothills of The Himalaya and offers a soothing climate through the months of October to December and from February to March. The temperature goes up to 35-degree centigrade in the summer, whereas the winter shows the temperature to fall up to 8-degree centigrade. The tea gardens can be visited in the monsoon season and it is from the month of June to September.
