This picturesque little home-stay, overlooking an exotic tea-estate, surrounded by hills and snow-covered mountain peaks is the perfect place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of routine-bound urban life and breath in the pure air to rejuvenate oneself. Situated near Mirik, Darjeeling, one of the best hill-stations of India, the property offers homely comfort as well as luxurious vacation time. The UNESCO World Heritage site, Darjeeling Himalayan Railway stations are a few miles away from this place. A vintage rooftop coupled with a long sundeck with the well furnished sitting arrangement, the amazing interior decor of the cozy rooms equipped with modern facilities and the highly maintained garden area with a number of flowering plants make the stay magical, along with a mesmerizing view of the starry night makes the stay flawless.

Outdoor Activity:
Local Treks: A short hike around the property to nearby viewpoints or through the gardens can be arranged. Early morning trek to the viewpoint to see the sunrise can offer a chance to experience the breathtaking view of the glistening snow of the mountaintops along with hills, tea plantations and the surrounding area.
There are a few short forest trails nearby which give the chance to encounter the wild flora and faunas.
Local Sightseeing Tours: This is organized by the property to see the nearby lakes, orange orchards, or the monasteries.
Interaction with the Locals: The tourists can take a stroll around the property and meet the local people, to listen to their tales of their culture and heritage, as well as culinary expertise.
Tea Garden Experience: Tea garden visit and tea tasting seasons can be arranged with prior notice, while one can learn about the plucking, pruning, collecting and processing of the world famous Darjeeling tea.
Bonfire: Bonfire can be arranged for the interested tourists in the garden under the open sky while enjoying dinner with cultural dances and songs to accompany it.
Nearby Attractions:
Bokar Ngedon Monastery: A peaceful and tranquil place for the mind and soul, this Buddhist monastery, rich in Tibetan arts, gives a great view of the surrounding area of Mirik from the top of the hill.
Tingling Viewpoint: A viewpoint and observatory on the way to Darjeeling. It offers a nice panoramic view of Kurseong across Balasun valley and nearby tea gardens. There are a few shops to buy tea nearby.
Durpin Dara and Durpin Monastery: Durpin Dara hill is connected with Deolo with a ridge, and in here is Durpin Monastery, one of the tourist favorites and a serene viewpoint. Located inside the military area, the monastery is a calm and quiet place for the peace seekers.
Azalea Waterfalls: A small waterfall near Nepal border. A remote place with untouched natural beauty.
Sumendu Lake: The lake is one of the major center of attraction here, surrounded by a garden and pine trees on the sides, and bridges to connect them. A beautiful surrounds the lake and from here, the snow-capped mountains can be seen. Boat rides are arranged here.
Best Time to Visit:
The best time to visit is summer, for the soothing weather in this hill station which results in the temperature to stay in between 15 to 25 degree Celsius, and early winter in November to December, when the temperature goes as low as 5 degrees and woolen cloths are needed. Summer is followed by a rainy and muddy season which has a few landslide incidents and should be avoided.
How to Reach:
Rail: The nearest rail-station is NJP. From NJP it is nearly 45 km which takes around 1 hour 30 minutes to reach.
Air: The nearest airport is Bagdogra airport. From there the distance is 55 km and takes around 2 hours to reach.
Road: From Kolkata, it is connected by Badshahi Road and NH 12 or alternatively NH 19, which is 610 km approx and takes 15 hours to reach. The property is 60 km or 3 hours from Darjeeling, and 112 km or 4 hours to reach Kalimpong.
