You can visit Dooars all through the year. If you plan for safari and entering the reserve forest the best time shall be in between mid-September to May. Monsoon hits here during July- September and during that time all forests will remain closed.

- Railway : The nearest station of Dooars is New Mal Junction. It takes only 30min to reach the place from this junction. Train like Kanchenkanya takes you from Kolkata to New Mal.
- Bagdogra airport is the nearest airport to reach Dooars. It takes nearly 2 hours to reach Murti from Bagdogra.
- Siliguri to Dooars by road is 69 kilometers and takes approximately 1 hour 41 minutes to reach. Many tea gardens and beautiful weather will accompany you on your road trip.
