The golden sunrise over the snow-capped mountains, the blooming cherry blossoms and the incredible magnolia and rhododendrons in the woods, might remind many of the tales of ‘mystery in the mountains’ narrated by grandmas over the bedtime. But lo and behold!

This scenic marvel of nature is located right in the heart of Sikkim; where a person resting on the deck, savoring a steaming cup of tea can romance the nature in the true sense of the word. The Resort

Nestled on the slopes of the lush green carpet of Temi Tea Garden, the resort is a picture perfect sanctuary for the visitors intending to bask in the delightful delicacies of Sikkim. The intimate inn offers postcard-pretty views of the snow-capped mountain ranges. Mount Kanchenjunga stands mighty in the backdrop.

The floating clouds, the mysterious mists and a vast expanse of emerald tea gardens, bordered by the blooming cherry blossoms create an enchanting ambiance for this romantic escape. Add to it, the Teesta River that only enhances the beauty of the entire set. Nature only seems to conspire to make the resort an ideal retreat to recline in style for the visitors.

The Accommodation and Facilities

The resort offers spacious rooms well equipped with modern bathrooms. In fact, the room décor of the resort is admired with local handcrafted furnishings. There is a rooftop cafeteria to indulge in a hot cup of tea while letting the eyes do the walking of the picturesque setting. The hospitality is unparallel; offering a wide array of cuisines, from local Sikkimese to North Indian dishes coupled with Asian and continental specialties, to choose from.

The resort also promises a lot of recreational activities. Both outdoor and indoor – in the form of badminton, cycling and carom/chess. It also has some incredible arrangements for hosting conferences, indoor meetings and grand weddings. It can accommodate as many as 500 people for private parties while the outdoor-tented events can accommodate around 1000 guests.

Best Time to Visit Temi

The Resort is open throughout the year with each season offering a unique experience and ambiance. The clear skies and New Year celebratory excitement in December/January is most special. While in spring flower and bird will attract you with incredible rhododendron and magnolia blooms in nearby forests. The summer offers a pleasant weather as compared to the cities of plain. The autumn’s sun-filled days are ideal for touring and trekking. However, we recommend traveling in the months of December to February as the New Year Celebrations in the resort are guaranteed to provide memories that would last lifelong.

  • Pemyangtse Monastery and Sang Da Choeling Monastery which are some of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim
  • Banjhakri Waterfalls offering a picturesque view especially during the monsoons
  • Tendong Trek which is one of the most popular destinations for a hiker at an altitude of 8500 ft. it is situated on a small plateau on top of the mountain giving the feeling of sitting in the center of a huge amphitheater
  • Leisure walk to Buddha Park is something which is strongly suggested to connect to the Buddhist culture
  • Samdruptse Hill where the visitor can admire the world’s tallest statue of Guru Padmasambhava

How to get there

Bagdogra and New Jalpaiguri are the closest airport and railway station respectively. You can cover the road from both the railway station and the airport by rental cars. It will take about 4 hours to reach the resort. It can also be accessed from Darjeeling, Gangtok and Siliguri.

Start from cost INR 4300 + 5% GST per day per Deluxe Royal Room (For Couple) – INR 900 for an extra cot.
