Darjeeling, the most famous hill station of West Bengal is approximately 2014 km away from Hyderabad, the capital of the state Telangana. From the City of the Nizams, there are several ways to reach the beautiful place, which are as follows:<\/p>\n

Hyderabad to Darjeeling: Through Air:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There is no airport in proper Darjeeling. The nearest airport is in Bagdogra (Airport code: IXB), which is 67.5 km from Darjeeling, and it takes around 3 hours to reach by car from the airport. There are a number of flights that connect Bagdogra to Hyderabad, as it received the status of a major airport recently.<\/p>\n

The average fare ranges between INR 4,900 to INR 6,000 per person, and a flight with one stop in Kolkata International Airport (CCU) takes around 7 hours 15 minutes to reach the airport. For an approximate idea of the fare and timing, the important flight details are given below, after 3 months from the date of booking.<\/p>\n

Hyderabad to Darjeeling: Through Train:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There is no major rail-station in Darjeeling with direct rail connectivity with Hyderabad.<\/p>\n

However, you can take a train to New Jalpaiguri, which is a major station, and then take a car to reach Darjeeling in 4-5 hours. The road is beautiful, with an amazing mountain experience.<\/p>\n

If you want a very unique experience and have time, opt for the Darjeeling-Himalayan railway that is the UNESCO-World heritage site from New Jalpaiguri Jn. to Darjeeling (Starts at 08:30 from NJP station and reached Darjeeling at 15:35 every day.)<\/p>\n

Hyderabad to Darjeeling: Through Road:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

If you are up for a really long but exciting journey to this hill station in your own car, from the southern part of India to the North-East, you can visit Darjeeling by a car from Hyderabad, by NH-53 or NH-16.<\/p>\n

There are three major routes to reach Darjeeling from Gangtok. Route 1<\/strong> covers 2060 km and it takes around 42 hours to reach Darjeeling. This route goes by Maharashtra, Chattishgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar before entering West Bengal. In this route, you may stay for the nights in Nagpur, Sambalpur, Dhanbad and Siliguri respectively.<\/p>\n

Route 2<\/strong> is 2014 km and it also takes 42 hours to reach.\u00a0 This road diverts from Route 1 after Nagpur and enters Madhya Pradesh. It crosses Uttar Pradesh and Bihar before entering West Bengal. The options for the night stay are- Nagpur, Varanasi, Muzaffarpur and Kishanganj.<\/p>\n

Route 3<\/strong> covers 2081 km and it takes 43 hours to reach Darjeeling. This is a more scenic route which passes by the seacoast to the east.\u00a0 It goes through Andhra Pradesh and Odisha before entering West Bengal. The night stay options are in Rajahmundry, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Malda and New Jalpaiguri.<\/p>\n
