It will be a memorable experience to visit Sinshore Bridge near Dentam which is Asia`s second-highest suspension bridge.
Visitors can also travel to the famous Char Dham at Solofok in Namchi.
Poison Pokhri opposite to the staircase leading to Rinchenpong Monastery, built in 1717.
Buddha Park in Rabangla, Kanchenjunga Falls, Khecheopalri Lake, and the only tea garden of Sikkim the Temi Tea Garden are also worth visiting.
A 1.30 hrs drive from the resort takes you to Samdruptse, the 180 ft first statue of Guru Rinpoche (Padma Sambhava ) and to the caves of Guru Rinpoche.
You can visit the monasteries. Dude Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim. Tashiding Monastery, the most sacred monastery in Sikkim. The famous Pemayangtse Monastery is also worth the visit. Travelers also have a look at Rabdentse Ruins of the old palace of Sikkim.
If you love a little adventure then a trek to Lheuntse Monastery will be very much enjoyable to you.
How to Reach
Biksthang nestled between Jorethang and Legship, is located at a distance of 124 km from Bagdogra airport and 120 km from the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. On prior request the resorts will provide pick up service from New Jalpaiguri or Bagdogra. Biksthang is also well connected by motorable roads. You can drive from Siliguri through Teesta to reach Melli. Then take a turn towards Jorethang and instead of turning toward Darjeeling, drive further to reach this beautiful destination in West Sikkim. You can also reach the destination via Gangtok, located at a distance of 119 km.
Best time to visit Biksthang
You can visit Biksthang at any time of the year but we try avoiding mountains in the rainy season. To get the best view of Kanchenjungha you should visit the place from October to February. From March to April you will find the hills tinged with the colors of Rhododendron which gives it an ethereal beauty.
Sightseeing Cost
INR 2000 is the minimal charges and minimal sites. If you want to visit all the attractions mentioned above it will cost you around INR 3000 – INR 3500 Approx. Our suggestion, talk to the Resort Manager for sightseeing transportation costs. He will surely help you out on that.
