Accommodation:- It has three rooms with attached toilet of western style alongwith hot water supply from geyser. The triple room can accommodate three persons , the Quad room can accommodate four persons and the five bedded room can accommodate 7 to 8 persons.

Outdoor Activities at Charkhole Homestay

The magnificent view of mighty Kanchenjunga which is bigger than what one can see from Lolegaon and Darjeeling is really awesome.

One can climb up the Ghampus Dara viewpoint to have a spectacular view of Sunrise.

There is a trekking route in charkhole which leads you through a jungle to the highest point in the hamlet.

There is a Buddhists monastery in charkhole which is the oldest in Kalimpong.

Nearby Attractions

Lava is a small hamlet situated 34kms east of kalimpong. Winter in lava is snowy. Lava is the gateway to famous Neora valley National Park which is replete with various flora and fauna .

Changey Water fall which is around 12 km from lava is a popular tourist destination.

Lolegaon is a small lepcha village located at a distance of 24 km from Lava. The famous Canopy Walk is a 180 mtr long hanging wooden treetop bridge that goes through the dense jungle. Walking through the bridge will make you ecstatic and being part of Nature. Lolegaon is famous for wilderness lover who love to explore natural wildlife.

How to reach

Reach New Jalpaiguri Railway Station by train then avail cab service to reach Kalimpong . Then from kalimpong to charkhole , only 27 km by hired taxi. Alternatively reach Bagdogra by Air and then to charkhole ( 77 Kms.) By cab service.

Best time to visit

Charkhole is a nice place to visit throughout the year because of its pleasant weather. This place is wrapped up by fog in between Monsoon and Winter. Suitable time for visit is either March to May or September to November.

Nearest Railway Station is NJP.

Nearest Air Port is Bagdogra.
