A direct journey from Kolkata to Kalimpong takes nearly 16 hours via NH12. Kalimpong is nearly 75km from NJP and it takes 2 hours 40min to reach from both NJP and Bagdogra

The nearest airport to Kalimpong is Bagdogra. Bagdogra is well connected with most of the metro cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai etc.

But if you are planning for snow fall you must target December end or January beginning though snowfall does occur every year.
