Nearby Activities

Lampokhari Lake- Lampokhari is one of the oldest natural lakes in Sikkim; however, some artificial construction has been done to provide bathing facilities for the tourists.

Parbateyswar Shivalaya mandir – Parbateyswar Shivalaya Mandir is a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is flocked by the visitors, especially in the Hindu month of ‘Sawan’.

Dak Bunglow – Dak Bungalow is an old British bungalow, which was built in the year 1895. This building is historically famous as it held Sikkim’s first treasury and the Sikkim police was also raised here.

Aritar Gumpa Monastery- A very famous Buddhist Monastery of the Kagyuapa order, Aritar Gumpa is one of the holiest and oldest monasteries in Sikkim. The traditional architecture, beautiful surroundings, carved and painted murals and other artifacts make this place a must visit for anyone visiting East Sikkim.

Trekking – Aritar apart from offering beautiful panoramic vistas is also a paradise for adventure enthusiasts. Situated near Lungchok valley is some of the amazing trekking routes leading towards Lokdara and Chujachen.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit the place is November, when the sky is clear, mountains shine, the cherry blossom and the butterflies come to kiss them. In summer the weather is very pleasant. Oct – Feb is winter time and the skies are clear but the temperatures drops and it is cold around with mercury falling from 10degree to -2degree.

Darjeeling is 88.5 km from the resort, while Gangtok is 67 km from the property.

Gangtok Airport is 67 km away. It takes 2 hour 40 mins to reach from the place

Via Rail, the nearest station is NJP which goes through rongpo and Kalimpong and it takes 4 hours from the station.
