Walking around the village is really enjoyable.You can trek through the uphill of Mangalbaria bazaar to Lhuntse Monastery.As you walk you will witness the clean roads , green woods, unknown flowers on the mountain slopes, colourful butterflies flying here and there and chirping of the birds breaking the silence. Visit Ravangla and the surrounding area to make your trip more compact and eventful.This picturesque town does not only offer an undisturbed view of Mt Kanchenjungha but also the tranquil landscape impresses you.You can explore Buddha Park, old Ralong Gompa, Temi Tea Estate and Ralong Hot Springs here in Ravangla.

You can also visit Rinchengpong and Kaluk which are famous for beautiful view of Kanchenjungha range of mountains. Rinchengpong Monastery is worth the visit.There are some other attractions like Sirijunga Temple ,Chayatal Lake,hanging bridge of Singshore and Varsey Rhododendron Sanctuary in Rinchengpong.

Although the beauty of the hills changes with the seasons and you can visit the hills any time of the year but winter witnesses extreme cold which goes down to sub-zero level. Again in monsoon the roads are inundated due to landslide. But summer is comfortable and you can visit the homestay to experience the best moments in Mangalbaria. HOW TO REACH

The homestay is located at Mangbir village in Mangalbaria near Rinchengpong. You have to reach Mangalbarey through NJP or Siliguri rail station or Bagdogra airport. The road is about 130 kms from NJP or Bagdogra.You can directly hire a car from NJP or Bagdogra to cover the distance . With the Car Rental Service of North Bengal Tourism ,one can easily hire a taxi from NJP to Mangalbaria or rent a car from Bagdogra to Mangalbaria at a reasonable price.
