Tea garden visit and tea tasting season:There are a number of famous tea gardens like Okayti tea estate, Gopaldhara tea estate etc. that flank this property. You can go and visit the places with prior permission. You can experience life in a tea garden, processing and packing of the famous Darjeeling tea. Also, you can take part in a tea tasting session in the factory or nearby outlets.
Birding:The pine forests and tea gardens are habitats to a number of local and migratory birds. If you have time, grab your camera and you can surely take a snap of the colourful fauna.

Mirik Lake:It is the most popular attraction in this area. People flock to this place for a nice view of the waterbody. So, early morning is a good time to visit. You can enjoy boating, fish feeding, and horse riding in this area. The western side of the lake has a forest while there is a garden on the east side. You can enjoy the walk over the eighty-foot footbridge that connects the two sides. The floating handicraft market is another attraction during boat rides.
Bokar monastery:At the highest point of Mirik, the monastery offers a nice view overlooking the lake and the surrounding area. It is around 5 km from the property. You can enjoy the teachings of Buddhism along with scriptures and statues.
Viewpoints:Two major viewpoints in this area are Kawley Dara and Rameetey Dara. Also, there is the Tingling viewpoint. You can enjoy a beautiful sunset and sunrise view from here. In winter, if the sky is clear, the Kanchenjungha view is breath-taking from here.
Devisthan:At the western bank of Mirik Lake, this place is located deep inside the forest. You have to walk a while to reach the place. It is a shine to a number of gods, but the main temple is dedicated to Devi Durga Maa.

Rail: The nearest rail station is New Jalpaiguri Jn. From there it is nearly 96 km away which takes 2 hours and 50 minutes to reach by car.
Air: The nearest airport is Bagdogra, 89 km away and takes a car 3 hours to reach the place.
Road: From Kolkata, the property is approximately 600 km away and it takes around 16 hours to reach by NH12 or NH19.
Best Time to Visit:
In summer, the weather is comfortable and sunny. Winter is chilling, but not unbearable like the upper points. When the sun comes out and the fog moves away, it is quite cosy. Monsoon is a bit messy, but the green hills and rejuvenated scenery makes up for it.
