Rishop is a little village in the Kalimpong District of West Bengal. It is also known as Rishyap. The name Rishop claims its origin from the Tibetan words – Ri and Shop. Ri means Mountain summit and Shop translates to ancient trees in Tibetan. Rishop is a peaceful and calm hamlet and it was not a popular destination among tourists previously. As days passed by, we all started searching for a peaceful getaway. Rishop gained popularity due to its calm and serene atmosphere. It has beautiful pine and rhododendron trees. Lolegaon: Lolegaon is only 34 km from Rishop. The forest of Lolegaon is dense. It is a perfect spot for trekking. It has a beautiful sunrise point called Jhandidara nearby.

How to reach Rishop / Rishyap:

By Rail: The New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is the nearest railway station to our resort. The distance between the New Jalpaiguri Station and Rishop is 110 km. It takes roughly 3 hours to reach Rishop from NJP via Gorubathan.

By Air: The nearest airport to Rishop is Bagdogra. Bagdogra International Airport is roughly 115 km from Rishop. You can hire shared or personally reserved cab services to reach our resort from Bagdogra. We also offer pick-up services for our guests.

By Road: Rishop is 110 km away from Siliguri town and only 32 km from Kalimpong. It takes only an hour-long drive to reach Rishop from Kalimpong. The road is beautiful and passes through Mayrong and Rissium forests. The scenic beauty makes the journey a major option for tourists.
