Here, the summer is soothing, and the winter cold is bearable. You will have several viewpoints and waterfalls along the way and take some good snaps. After you reach Shimla, go to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax for the day. If you start early from Chandigarh, you will have some time in the early afternoon to check out the surroundings. Go to the mall, and check out the Kalibari on foot. Explore the busy life of Shimla- how a mountain capital goes on with its life. You can also go for a paid heritage walk through Shimla. Return to the hotel later in the evening and have your dinner. Rest for the night as you will have a busy day ahead.

Day 2:

Have your breakfast and you will have a day of sightseeing in front of you. In the first part of the day, check out Kufri. In the second part of the day, explore the local points in Shimla. You will reach Kufri by car which will be ready for you in the morning after breakfast. Kufri is about 20 km from Shimla, which will take about an hour to reach. If you come here in the winter, you will indulge in snow and fun. In summer though, the snow retreats and a green meadow will welcome you. Here, you will have time to check out the Himalayan Wildlife Zoo, which is a must if you are coming with family. For a friends-only trip and to have a fun time, you can also check out the Kufri Fun park. In these places, the entry and activity cost will be borne by you as it is not included in the package. After visiting Kufri, head back to Shimla and have a scrumptious lunch. Then you can check out the local sightseeing spots in the city. Do check out the Heritage Museum, Lakkar Bazaar, and Christ Church. After a while, go to the Jakhu Temple. You have to hike a bit before you see the beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Here you will see a 33-m Hanuman statue standing tall over the forest. Come back to the hotel and rest for the night, as you have a long journey tomorrow morning.

Day 3:

You have a journey of more than 250 km today. It will take about 7 hours to reach if you drive continuously. As you will take breaks for sightseeing and lunch on the way, it will take about 1-2 hours more. So, be prepared accordingly for this road trip experience. Have a filling breakfast in the Shimla hotel and check out. Try to start the journey early in the morning, so that you can avoid some of the busy traffic on the way. As you travel towards Manali, you can see the Sundar Nagar Lake and Pandoh dam on the way. If you are religious, you can also check out the Hanogi Mata Temple, and Vaishno Devi Temple. If you are a shopaholic, there is something for you in this road trip too. As you come near Kullu town, you will come across Pashmina Shawl showrooms. Based on your research and the driver’s suggestion, you can go on a shopping spree, but keep a mind to the clock. If you start very early in the morning, you will reach Kullu around noon. At that time, you can take part in the white water river rafting for about an hour. Keep in mind that the water activity cost will be borne by you. After that, reach Manali in the late afternoon. Check in at the hotel, as you have an overnight stay in Manali for the next three days. Rest for the night after having a good dinner at the hotel.

Freshen up in the morning and have your breakfast. Then start your day by visiting the Hadimba Devi Temple and Ghatotkacha Temple. These temples are dedicated to Mata Hadimba from Mahabharata and her son Ghatotkacha. After offering your prayers to the temple, come to the clubhouse for some fun and recreational activities. Here, you can go skating, ziplining, disco, etc. Later, visit the Sage Vashisht’s hot springs. If you bring extra clothes and a towel with you, you can also take a refreshing dip in the hot springs, which are said to have medicinal properties. After that, you will find temples dedicated to Lord Rama and Lord Shiva just across the hot springs. Pay a visit there too if you like. Rest for the night as you have a busy day of sightseeing ahead.
