Lawn and Local Walks: The green lawn on the bank of the river provides an amazing sunrise and sunset view from the thatched-roof hut and deck area. The open-sky roof-top eatery under the starry sky enchants the visitors. There are village roads and walkways on the bank on the river. Early morning strolls amidst the melodious chirps of various songbirds is the best way to enjoy the place.
Playing Area: There is a playground near the lawn for the kids, along with some equipment like nets and balls.
Shyamsundarpur Nearby Attractions:
Old Port and Harbor: It is situated in Falta, which has a very important place in economic development and history. The Dutch colonialists landed here and built a harbour for their base. British East India Company came later and used this port for their trading activities. Various remnants from that colonial days are still here.
Gadiara: It is one hour away from the property, which is the point of convergence of the Damodar, the Rupnarayan and the Hoogli rivers. In the eighteenth century, the British built a fort here to fight against the river pirates.
Mayapuri Kanan: This is the garden house of the famous scientist Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose, who discovered that plants have a life too.
Garchumuk: This place is situated at the confluence of River Hooghly and River Damodar. It is an emerging tourist destination and picnic spot. There is a new deer park at the bank of the river, popular among children.
Raichak and Diamond Harbor: From here, it takes around half an hour to reach Diamond Harbor and Raichak. The sunset view over the Raichak fort is mesmerizing.

Shyamsundarpur can be visited at any time of the year. In the winter months of October to February, the weather stays soothing and pleasant. In monsoon, the river view is amazing but the road condition worsens.

Rail: The nearest rail-station is Diamond Harbour. From there it is nearly 22 km which takes around 1 hour to reach.
Air: The nearest airport is Dumdum or Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. From there the distance is 80 km and it takes 2 hours 30 minutes to reach.
Road: From Kolkata, the property is approximately 50 km away and it takes around 2 hours to reach with high traffic in Diamond Harbour road.

Although the place is good but the some systems are really not acceptable and you feel like being in a hostel
They close the main door to lawn by 10:30 to 11 pm and open by 7 pm which is really pathetic as if you can’t access the lawn then you have nothing here
Then they provide morning tea by 8:30 am so you have no access to anything for such wonderful environment at outside
We had spoken to the management but they also couldn’t help anything
