By road: Takdah is 52 km from Siliguri town. It roughly takes around 3 hours to reach Takdah from Siliguri. The road passes through some popular tourist spots such as Bara Mangwa, Chhota Mangwa, etc. It is also close to Darjeeling (28 km) and Kalimpong (40km).

By rail: The nearest railway station to Takdah is the NJP railway station. The distance between the NJP railway station and Takdah is only 60km through the Sevoke road.

By air: The nearest airport to Takdah is the Bagdogra International Airport. The distance between the airport and Takdah village is around 60km.
