Sometimes I feel that we are moving in a Ferris Wheel every day, from morning to night due to our stressful job schedule. We have bound ourselves in this survival process, such a way, that there is hardly any room for joy, laugh and compassion.

# 1 Start a new painting with lots of colours

Painting always works as a stress reliever to each individual. Also if it’s one of your hobbies you might already know that, how playing with various colours actually rejuvenates your inner self. Start with some very simple colouring act or make a simple sketch whatever you like.

You will feel refreshed once you complete the painting. When you look at your own handmade work of colours, you should discover your true self in a different way and an unexplainable joy, full of pride, will take you over.

# 2 Go for a walk in your nearby playground

If you are a city dweller you might have forgotten the greenery of this world. In this weekend have a solo trip to your nearby grassland or park or an open playground. Walk on the grass in barefoot.

Feel the soil as the basis of your own existence, not as dirt. Look at the playfulness of the children there. Their sporty smiles would take you over with lots of joy. Look at the birds returning home after a long day of survival journey. Feel them silently.

If you own a car you can go for a long drive to some unexplored places all alone. You will need a thoughtless mind, music and the eyes to see the beauty of the mother nature. Do something which you may not have done after you have grown up. Lay down beneath the tree, so some phishing, feed a cow with some straw, play with the unknown children, donate something to the needy one.

If you are an inborn explorer you can also give a try to some historical places with lots of unexplored history. Maybe you would have found some really valuable treasure there, none able to find before.

Can you remember your childhood days, when you usually spent a lot of time figuring out the proper way to count the stars? Now once you became all alone you can relive those moments with a thin smile on your face. Just gaze at the twinkling stars in a remote area, where no dust or smoke blurs your vision.

Due to a tight job schedule, our nuclear family faces a lot of problems, one of those is lots of places in our home needs our attention at the weekend. Many time it happens that, you have started some work with great enthusiasm, but due to some unwanted urgency you had to let that job undone. Throughout the week you have suffered for the incompleteness of that project, within.

Once you got some time to become alone in your weekend, you must complete that half-done work. Once it’s done you would really feel relieved from that uneasiness within you and as a result, you would be refreshed too.

It was one of my best weekend spending idea when I got a chance to be alone. Instead of waiting for a treat from your spouse or friends you can actually spend some bucks on your own self by watching an wonderful movie alone. You will feel drowned in the thoughts once you watch the full movie alone.

Following that thoughtful movie, fill your stomach with some finger-licking dinner of your own choice, in the nearby hangout or your favourite restaurant.

The best part of this dinner is, there is none to interrupt you by saying that, this may increase your weight.

# 12 Discover some wonderful music to make a new collection

I find people are getting lost in songs and music, in their free time throughout the week. I think it’s actually a healing process of our inner self from all the wounds caused by our stressful life.

So instead of listening to mixed kind of music from the radio, which also includes lots of annoying advertisements, you can spend some valuable time alone to create a nice playlist of your favourite songs or music. You would feel thankful to yourself in your upcoming weekdays.

# 13 Have a trip to your nearby library

The library is really a great place to get lost in the world of excitement, stories,  knowledge etc. which are all really new and unexplored to you. If you got a chance to be alone this weekend, you can get lost in the world of books, whatever book you want. You can only find this great opportunity without any cost in your nearby library only.

Spending a day in the lap of the books will really cherish your mind with lots of happiness and joy.

If you are a great music lover and didn’t get a chance to attend any concert for a long time and your inner self is craving for some really enjoyable night, then you can also look for a concert in your nearby area. Attending a concert alone is more enjoying because you can move with some awkward dance steps, which, the unknown persons around you won’t really notice.

I find a lot of people on the way to my office whom sometimes I misinterpret as a robot, with headphone wires, Bluetooth devices, headset etc. coming out of their body and they are walking, talking, laughing every time as if with their own self.

In this weekend once you are really alone at your home let’s unplug your inner self from all these artificial happiness and look for some real one. Can you remember how much happy you were, when you were a child. You were so curious about everything around you. A simple butterfly could fill your heart with great happiness. How much playful you were all the time. Just remember those days and give yourself a try to bring out those smiles by doing some awkward things which a child can only do.

For example, just do a kiddish dance without any aids or music.

You will find yourself in a state where you won’t need to plug yourself for at least 2-3days.
